This weekend was busy so I didn’t have much time to work on development, but I made sure to set some time aside on Sunday to work. There isn’t anything worth putting out a build for, but I managed to get a couple things off my backlog that were going to have to get done at some point. No time like the present.
-
I picked up a couple more assets from Fab: Advanced Rock Pack and House Forge. The rock and stone assets are going to enable me to do some cave building for the next map updates I want to do. The house assets will allow me to work on the Sanctuary Town structures.
-
I updated the DateAndTimeController to give it a bit more functionality. It can now be paused on-the-fly if I decide an area shouldn’t progress time, it can be sped up and slowed down, and it properly registers with the saving and loading system so it is saved between game sessions.
-
I exported a high-res overview map of the island terrain for further development and design. If there’s interest, I’ll drop it onto the Discord server or 6fps Network as well. I’m considering taking incremental exports of the map to show development progress, but I’m not sure how I would present that later if I do.
-
I began designing the first mini-dungeon to be explored. It’ll be a completely optional area, as opposed to El’Mi, which is a required dungeon.
-
I began designs of new crafting ingredients and recipes. I need to decide what’s going to be needed before I can begin adding them all to the game.
That’s basically it, unfortunately. Keep an eye on this space for further developments later. I’ll do my best to make sure these weekly logs are updated. Until next time, thanks for stopping by. Keep on gaming, everyone!
