Verdict: Recommended after 26.1 hours of playtime. (Currently 137.5 hours, with 394.7 hours in the classic edition and 3.3 hours in the VR edition.)
Skyrim is one of those games that you should play at some point. Is the Special Edition worth the cost? If you don’t own the “classic” edition with the official DLC packs, then yes. If you own the classic edition and play with a lot of mods, then probably not. Certain combinations of mods in the original game will allow it to look as good as, or even better than, the Special Edition.
All in all though, it’s a great game and it deserves to be experienced.
